eGov in Israel
International eGov Projects

eGov in Israel
Netwise has vast experience in the planning, design, development and ongoing maintenance of numerous Israeli government portals and systems, acting as a partner in all stages of the project. These projects include:

  • Gov.il – Israel Government Portal
The gov.il portal is part of the eGov project whose goal is to improve and reinforce ties and communication between citizens and government institutions. The project is advanced and promoted by the Israeli Ministry of Finance and the Accountant General. The website presents the entire range of services and information supplied by the government to citizens of the state, by providing all the online Internet services and information supplied by government ministries and authorities.
The site enables access to all the online services offered by the government, including: driving license and vehicle license renewal, comparison of compulsory insurance rates, passport renewal, air pollution map, calculation of maternity leave payments, viewing matriculation exam grades and many more online services.
The website was developed using Microsoft's CMS content management system.

  • my.gov.il – personalized government portal for Israeli citizens
Mygov is a unique portal, part of the gov.il family. The goal of the portal is to enable every citizen to select the services, news and information that interest him/her from government ministries and authorities.
In addition to selecting information, the user can also edit the information and define how it will be displayed in his/her personal site.
"Mygov – my portal" enables users to edit content and modify the design of their personal sites.
The website was developed using NET 2.0, and based on the company's advanced Wise Client infrastructure, as well as combining AJAX (Asynchronous Javascript and XML).
Netwise has been involved in the website throughout – from specification of user interface, through development, to design and content (from the gov.il website).

  • Israel Government Payment Server
The government payment service is an e-commerce system. The service was launched in 2001 as part of the eGov project, and it enables citizens to make online payments to government ministries and authorities (payment of taxes, fees, fines) and to purchase products (purchase of government advertising, tenders and journals). Payment via the site is executed through a secure server.
Netwise has been involved in the project since its inception, when it was only a preliminary idea. The company's founders serve as consultants to the Ministry of Finance. Netwise executed the site's specification and definition, as well as its design and development, based on Microsoft's e-commerce system.
The payment server website is Israel's leading e-commerce site. The site enables execution of payments to 27 different government ministries and authorities, and currently services support the execution of 122 types of payment to various government ministries. An additional service delivered by Netwise is customer services to end users, providing them with technical support.

  • Israeli Government Tenders website
The government tenders website lists all the tenders published by all Israeli government ministries, authorities, institutions and government owned companies. Tenders can be sorted by tender publisher, or by tender publication dates.
Tender information is obtained from the official Governmental Advertising website.
